Week 6 Reflection

It's hard to believe but we are just over halfway complete with Season 1 of "The Windup" on 94.3 the Fortress!

This week was an interesting one to say the least when it come to getting the interview portion of the show done.  I made contact with Madison-Grant Coach Beau Engle on Monday and set up an interview time for Wednesday at 10 am.  When Wednesday at 10 am showed up, I called the school to find out he wasn't in for the day.  Not good.  This may have been the first time in this semester where I thought I wasn't going to get the interview portion done.  Luckily, we were able to get the interview completed on Thursday and the show aired on Friday without a problem.  This was two weeks in a row where things were a little bit nerve-racking when it came to getting the interview.  The one big thing I have learned in this is do all I can to set up the interview's a week ahead of time.  Granted, I haven't been the greatest at doing this over the course of the semester, but it is a great help to stay ahead of the show episodes.

The other big news this week is we have a new name for "The Starting Lineup."  Since that segment got moved to the end of the show, it didn't make sense to call it "The Starting Lineup."  I needed to think of a name that dealt more with the end of the show and a preview to the weekend.  Eureka!  I've got it!  Jeremy and I agreed on calling it "The Final Countdown."  Taken from the cheesy song, this was a perfect name for the segment that concluded the show (Final) and previewed the upcoming sports weekend (Countdown).  Amazing!

Week 7 will be a big week as I've scheduled an interview with Local Sports Broadcaster Jim Brunner!  You won't want to miss next week's episode!

Hours Update:
Hours This Week: 10 hours
Total Hours This Semester: 70.5 hours (52.2% complete) - Crossed the halfway mark!
Minimum Hours Remaining: 64.5 hours

6 shows down, roughly 5 more to go, and still looking good for making my hours count!  Continue to remember this in prayer as the semester continues.

Thank so much everyone!
