Fortress Sports Update: Week 3

Welcome to the Fortress Sports Update!  This is where we bring you a glimpse into the week's upcoming Grant County sporting events.  I'm Tim Decker.

On Tuesday, January 24th -
Girls High School Basketball will dominate the evening as 3 county teams are in action.  Match-ups include:
Eastern at Oak Hill - 7:30 p.m.
Northfield at Eastbrook - 7:30 p.m.
Northwestern at Madison-Grant - 7:30 p.m.

On Wendesday, January 25th -
We have two local basketball games taking place on this day.  On the boys side, Eastbrook will host Anderson Prep Academy while on the girls side, Marion will host Alexandria.  Both of those games have a 7:30 p.m. varsity tip.

On Thursday, January 26th -
A quiet night in high school athletics as only one girls basketball game will be taking place.  Eastbrook travels to Wes-Del for a 7:30 p.m. varsity tip.

On Friday, January 27th -
It's another busy night in boys high school basketball as 4 of our 5 county teams will be on the road. Match-ups include:
Eastbrook at Blackford - 7:30 p.m.
Mississinewa at Alexandria - 7:30 p.m.
Oak Hill at Madison-Grant - 7:30 p.m.
Marion at Richmond - 8:00 p.m.

There is one girls high school basketball match-up to mention.  Marion hosts Richmond for a 7:30 p.m. varsity tip.

On Saturday, January 28th -
High School Wrestling will take the stage as the IHSAA State Tournament gets underway with sectional play.  Eastbrook, Madison-Grant, Marion, Mississinewa, and Oak Hill will all play in the Oak Hill Sectional at Oak Hill High School starting at 9 a.m.

If wrestling isn't enough for you, there are 2 boys high school basketball match-ups to mention.
Madison-Grant at Taylor - 7:30 p.m.
Fort Wayne Northrop at Marion - 8:00 p.m.

On top of all that, there's 3 girls high school basketball match-ups as well! Games include:
Blackford at Eastbrook - 12:30 p.m.
Oak Hill at Madison-Grant - 12:30 p.m.
Mississinewa at Alexandria - 7:30 p.m.
