Week 11 Reflection

It's hard to believe...but we've done it!  The first season of "The Windup" on 94.3 the Fortress is complete!

11 episodes.  7 different guests.  Tons of hours spent trying to make the best sports radio talk show Grant County has ever seen.

As I look back on this adventure, I really believe I dominated the goals I set for this project.  I completed 11 episodes, 11 promos, 11 Fortress Sports Updates, started this headquarters page, started a Facebook page, started a Twitter page, and so much more. Through Dr. Perry's approval, we will be doing a 2nd season of "The Windup!"  That season is scheduled to start in January.  We'll do at least 11 episodes...if not more.  We will have plenty of basketball to cover and we'll even get into the baseball/softball season as well.

This last episode wasn't too difficult.  I did have to wait until Thursday afternoon for my guest interview so that added a little bit of stress to life.  Jim Brunner is a great man to talk to when it comes to high school sports and the sports culture of Grant County.  We'll bring him back on the show a couple of times next semester for more basketball coverage and see if his predictions came true for the basketball season.

At this point, it's time for me to catch up on all the blog posts, start making my presentation, start gathering paperwork from the entire semester to put into a portfolio, and honestly, take a little bit of a break as well.

Thanks so much to everyone who made this first season of "The Windup" a great success.  Be watching throughout now and January to keep in the know of Grant County High School Sports.  I'm going out to cover some games as well.  Be ready for that!

Hours Update:
Hours This Week: 11 hours
Total Hours This Semester: 124 hours (91.8% complete)
Minimum Hours Still Needed: 11 hours
With still a couple of weeks to finish things up, I think I'm good for hours.  It was a concern at first...but through some hard work in this last push of the semester...I'll make it.  Let's just hope my presentation and portfolio are just as awesome as making the hours total.
